Finally, twitter reveals its analytics tools. Just go to https://ads.twitter.com/ and log in with your twitter account. I have this graph showing the trend growing number of followers:

There are also other useful insights for your tweets, waiting to be analyzed on your twi-strategies.

Although it is bit late gift to the tweepals, twitter analytics will prove a valuable asset towards monetizing twitter.

Spams in @twitter Direct Messages

I have been getting direct messages from twitter with spammy links.
Do you also get 'em?

I am not sure about this "lost message" thingy too..

Now you can directly share pictures on twitter.
This is a good step features specially, for the  twitter  users with smartphones.
Now, people can use the geo-tagged images directly from the twitter making it more reliable source of news-worthy events.

First, one should appreciate the idea of doing something new. It was a good attempt by Kantipur to bridge to gap between the offline-online connections. However, I have to say the following...

If a person is standing on a chowk and saying out loud random 140 characters. What would the passer-by learn? They might eventually name that person a mad-man.
Publication of twitters without context can be regarded as similar stunt.

Second, napaune-le ke payo bokra samma chapayo. Twitter is not for backbiting. One has to be aware of the consequences of throwing stuffs into the air. They might come back to hunt you. If anything can not be said in public, and defended; well put it in a diary.

It is certainly encouraging that Nepali tweepals are   learning to navigate the twitter space by poking around. Most of them are @personal-level communication and might not be relevant to the public. Yet, it happens as @mention; not as personal messages in inbox. (This is the changing horizon of communication medium.)

#Twitter Hashtag features in Blogger

The #twitter hash tags were not envisioned when twitter was started. Users invented the use of  it and thus was implemented later to tag tweets. This gave rise to the concept of trending topics, which ultimately has given twitter a new power.

A lot of bloggers use twitter as a medium to push the contents via social media.

Now that tweets without #tags are hard to find, bloggers have  started embedding the hashtags {me too :(} 

Embedding the hash tags on the title not only make the title look ugly, it also defeats the purpose of having labels on the posts.

It would be wonderful if labels on the posts could be picked (by services like friendfeed or twitterfeeder) so that it would automatically add the hashtags as per the label. Or even better, Google could do it for blog*spot et al.

Call it the influence of the tweeting-freedom, the disappeared egyptian cobra has been found tweeting about her funny side.

She now has more than 150K followers; despite could not be located and ironically follows the only one: http://twitter.com/TheBronxZoo.

It will be interesting to see where the twitter account holder takes it to. I hope it just stays on its funny side without biting anyone.

The zoo explains:
