The First Contact: How will it go?

If one works out the numbers, probability of life being elsewhere in the universe is not small. Neither should the probability that they are smarter than us. This week Hawking's statement about the ET got some waves.(http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8642558.stm)
