Crash Message in Firefox@ Ubuntu

Few days back aakar-tech wrote about google gear being abandoned by Google in favor of HTML5.
However, it has been long time since I got this message...

I went into the google gear site... http://gears.google.com/
 
and re-installed the gears. 
 ... and I believe, it went away.
