Watch movie 21 free videos online trailer

You tube is great!!! You can find almost everything in there.

I got the preview of the movie 21 (2008) in there, just by accident. It's trailer looks impressive. I was particularly impressed by the way the guy calculates on the fly!
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809834187/details
Synopsis:
"21" is inspired by the true story of the very brightest young minds in the country – and how they took Vegas for millions. Ben Campbell (Jim Sturgess) is a shy, brilliant M.I.T. student who – needing to pay school tuition – finds the answers in the cards....
He is recruited to join a group of the school’s most gifted students that heads to Vegas every weekend armed with fake identities and the know-how to turn the odds at blackjack in their favor. With unorthodox math professor and stats genius Micky Rosa (Kevin Spacey) leading the way, they’ve cracked the code. By counting cards and employing an intricate system of signals, the team can beat the casinos big time. Seduced by the money, the Vegas lifestyle, and by his smart and sexy teammate, Jill Taylor (Kate Bosworth), Ben begins to push the limits. Though counting cards isn’t illegal, the stakes are high, and the challenge becomes not only keeping the numbers straight, but staying one step ahead of the casinos’ menacing enforcer: Cole Williams (Laurence Fishburne).
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for some violence, and sexual content including partial nudity.
Sounds interesting?

Do it Google way: Black is Green! Earth Hour: Energy

Today I found that the famous google screen is tinted black in support to the Earth Hour. They have expressed it as "committed to helping build a clean energy future".
This is a great step towards creating awareness. Specially sites like google which dominate over the internet can spread out the message quickly and effectively.
There should be no doubt that renewable energy is the future of all, but it takes time for us to realize that we have come this far and have become resource hungry. We need engergy, but wiseful use of it can save a bit. A bit from everyone at the same time will collect as bunch!
I don't exactly know whether putting the lights off for one hour makes some significant change, but it will cetrainly have some nice impact.
Thumbs up google!

I am planning to write on "what makes difference ?"(its a plan).

Fraudulent Requests for Passwords

I received the following "update" from the University.
I do not use the university Email because I have been targeted by too many spams there.
How can I be targeted while others do not receive that much spam in the inbox. Specially, I have not exposed my University email.

Let there be rats!

I have a blog which contains spams I have been receiving recently.
************
The University continues to be the target of phishing attacks. These attacks have grown more sophisticated in their attempts to trick members into revealing their account information (NetID and Password). Below you will find some sample phish messages reported by UAlbany recipients and other institutions. A popular theme is the notice of a security breach that requires account confirmation.

This is a reminder that the University will NEVER ask you to reveal your account password.

To (poorly) paraphrase Dr. Seuss:

We will not ask you in an email.
We will not ask you on the phone.
We will not ask you in person.
We will not ask you for your password, period.

Safari: A little Push; Firefox3: Ready to go?

The users of iTunes and QuickTime on windows PC has been "pushed" by the recent update which encourages users for SAFARI 3.1. Many has taken this as un-invited guest.
Recently the push by apple for safari has become so irritating that there are huge criticisms regarding the reliability of huge companies like apple. People are worried because it came in the form of "update" process. Update, by definition, is not the process to install a new software.

I can see the way apple is trying to sneak from the back of the stage.
At this time, when Firefox and Internet explorer are heading for head to head, will safari survive its race?
If I have to go for the "speed", I would go for Opera.

Firefox 3: after the adventures thru the beta testers is “ready for prime-time”.

Firefox users have survived their days on the www with FF2.

Sexual Assault: UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY DEFINES CONSENT

Recently The "Assault" terms are becoming frequent. There are already some cases by now.
The University sent the following round up:

Sexual Assault Resource Center

got consent??

"YES" = ok = permission = CONSENT

When initiating SEX:
1. Asking does not mean an automatic NO.
2. Silence does not equal YES.
3. Consent cannot be given when "intoxicated."
4. If YOU are UNSURE about asking or telling then STOP.
5. Asking for an answer means you will KNOW when it is NO.
6. Know how to say YES or NO.
7. Know how to handle hearing YES or NO.

UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY DEFINES CONSENT:

"The term "ACTIVE CONSENT" means that each person involved in sexual
contact not only agrees to the sexual activity but also agrees freely
and knowingly. A person who has been threatened or coerced, whose
judgment is substantially impaired by drugs or alcohol or by physical or
mental impairment even if temporary, or who is unconscious or asleep,
cannot give consent to sexual contact. A person under the age of 17
years is deemed incapable of giving consent."

Spring Started!

Spring Started!

It was so nice outside that I walked all the way to the University. There are traces of the snow piles, lying around and trying to survive the heat. Ultimately, they have to melt.

The weather forecast works! It works because they keep it updated.
They had predicted it to be such nice weather compared to freezing one last week.

With the arrival of Spring, Spring fever will hypnotize people for a while by now. People will get out of their air-tightened apartments and dwell in grass. Walk in the open land and feel the fresh air.

So, finally the snow seasons of winter is gone. Everyone looks cheered.
I have to say that this winter was a mild one. Not too much drop in minimum temperature. Some people say that it used to be very very cold. Is it the matter of discussion under the global warming?
