From Kathmandu!
I felt a little chill, for sure. But was enjoying the chill. "That is ok".
With only one luggage bag and a hand carry and a back pack, I had cleared the custom office.
So, formally and officially I had entered the Nepali land.
As I came out of the luggage claim I found myself in the middle of fellow peoples willing to help me. I said,"I have no paper money, so you will be feeling bad at last; and I can carry these bags". They said,"We won't mind". Actually three people wanted to drag the single bag, but I managed that only one would drag it and was sure that I will convince him of my no-money situation in the purse. I was still confused, I showed him my purse. I had a 10 Ruppes plastic note in my purse and another was a 20 dollar bill. He said whatever that money was, he would accept that. (A great heart???) I said to myself,"Hell !; this is the 20 dollars!".
He was still not convinced. I kept repeating that I was mere a student, I had no change money with me and that I did not carry paper money since I used card. He was determined to drag my bags. Till I could say anything anymore, I was already standing in front of all the taxi drivers, all greeting and wanting me to take into their taxies. I am the single one, how can I travel in so many taxies at the same time? I still had not paid the first guy, I saw a familiar face there and borrowed some money to give him, he was not so happy but had not time to discuss with me since he had to run for the another run. Back to taxi services, When I spoke my destination, which was only at 3 kilometers, they said the charge was 500 Ruppes and that was non-negotiable!
Specially reduced for me.
Finally, I could convince that I was a student and could not pay them that much, but would rather walk down or call my brother to bring one from outside the airport, one bidded at 350. After which everyone was his enemy. I felt bad. As I was bargaining for something which seemed ridiculously expensive. Well, it is only 5.5 Dollars or so. But is expensive, trust me. I managed him to agree at 300. As we started moving out,
One of the guy was still hanging on the window, and was asking if I could tip him as he "escorted" me to the taxi. I said sorry!
This is the exact picture of the airport scene.
When I started to speak with the Driver, as I usually do, he was able to convince me that 300 Ruppes for these three kilometer journey was reasonable since the price of the Petrol had hiked to 80 Rs. per liter.
I was observing the smokes coming out of the trucks shining by the head light.

This song by Chris Daughtry is really nice. It says "I am going home!" it represents my enthusiasm before coming outta the plane.

Exploration, Hobby and Madness
Imagine a mouse in a box. It will not move for reasonable time, till it gets the perception of being safe.
The safety is the main issue.
Once it feels to start that it is safe, it starts to move.
But, Move for what?
This is the primary question in my mind for today.
Take an example: For food.
For better food!
Once it starts to learn the term "better" in its mind, it becomes active. More active. It starts to think. (I am trying to draw parallel to human, so please bear with me.)
We are driven by some motivation. Some kind of curiosity. This is the father of the exploration.
How do we define the degree of curiosity for individuals? because the amount(quantity?) of motivation is different for each of us.
We all live in our own universe. Your Universe overlaps with my one, at some points, so we have some kinda interaction.
No one knows what s/he will get the next moment. But not everyone explores. It is interesting human behavior.
But once s/he enjoys the joy of exploration, it becomes hobby. And for someone who have not been infected with such curiosity, it is termed madness.
I was walking on the Road, covered with the snow. Since there had been a strong storm, no one had walked on the road. I was putting the first steps over the snowy path.
I enjoyed it.
Think of Armstrong! He did something which no other Homo sapiens had done. To put the feet on the Moon.
Is it a madness or hobby or exploration or a mere duty?
Can you imagine the joy of that?

Black and white: Two colors of the Winter
They were wonderful. I had posted some pictures in this blog.
We are having nice and heavy snow fall. It poured the whole day and is still going on, already past the midnight. I am amazed with the weather guys who can predict everything very accurately.
They had predicted 6 to 10 inches of snow. True!
Now we have snow.
Snow Snow everywhere.
The leaves have already fallen from every branch of the trees except the pine ones. So we have the whole lot of naked trees. Their stems stand. To suffer the winter. The sun is invisible in the day but light is scattered enough that it is white everywhere. Snow white: Even in the evening. The black stripes of the trees make the whole scene a nice black and white combination.
When I visited the art exhibition in Troy last month, the Japanese artist had painted the four seasons. I did not agree with her on that day, but now I see what she meant. I love snow. But, to love the theme of the picture, you should really hate the winter. Black and white!![]()
We will be having -16 degree Celsius in coming Tuesday. The weatherman says so. It is just the beginning of the Winter.
Enjoy the snow.

A New Job Offer!
One of my room mate has moved. Since he stayed there for three years or so, he has/had been best targeted by all kind of spammers. Moreover, his name is not native so Snail-Mail-spammers sent him all kinds of beauty magazines, household ads, kids stuffs, new models of under wears and what not! Clearly, he has been modelled as a lady by the spammers.
Some interesting mails include checks of 15 Dollars. Not for free, they have hidden agreements/deals that by cashing the check he agrees to pay 150 dollars for enrollment in bla bla bla.
I would just throw it,
But he needs it!
He says "you still do not know the joy of tearing apart the spams and deleting the spam messages from your inbox".
Wow!
So, I am offered a job to carry his spams and put it in his mail box. This is not hard work as we work in the same Department. But I am wondering, is it really the case as he said?
Sorry for exciting title and boring article. I thought it was worth blogging!

iAdvisor : A fiction.
This is really a fantastic idea.
I can not write to explain my happiness. "iAdvisor" understands it. When I went back to my room to find my wife sleeping, without getting full consciousness, she understood it: without a word being spoken. She said "Wow! u got it?". I had got no chance to say anything to her. See, still amazed by these patterns of feelings which, upto today, only the humans could understand the other. Actually, it was her inspiration, which induced me to design and think of such algorithm and a device.
Well, "iAdvisor" is something like your wife, your partner, your deep friend, from which you have nothing to hide, nothing to keep secret. Let it observe everything. The more you get it involved, the best results you would get. It is something between "I" and "You": something deep between the first person and the third person. The best part is it never intervenes the situation, just transmits you the suggestions. It, not only takes the situation, but can also extrapolate and produce the possible results and suggest you, advise you. The longer you stay with my device, better results you will be getting. Yep, your freedom to decide is still preserved. Just a friend to remind you and be with you, just in case.
"iAdvisor" is a device which can recognize your basic moods. It can take the situation, analyze it and give you the structure of possible outcomes. If I had been taking tea in the morning, and I think of coffee, it can say "Nice change, This coffee is best/suitable for you!" and take my word, it will suggest you the correct flavor. You will really enjoy it. I mean, given that it has the record of all your drinking habits, you had been taking, it can create a nice implication lattice of all the possible flavors. And with all the associated factors, it can suggest a suitable outcome. It means it really knows you. Mind the word: suggest, not only the presentation of the possible results. Isn't that amazing?
That is only example, think of its possibilities, with the super cluster computing, it can find the best dinner for you tonight. Suggest nice lines to read, can aid nice references for you (still under development). It is not just a reminder machine, it is something like your wife reminding you to get something form the market, a friend who suggests a best way to get the things done (I have managed not to involve it to do some mechanical works, up to now; it poses some serious problems).
This Saturday (23rd Dec. 2055), I will be organizing a nice public demo of my "iAdvisor". You are heartly welcomed @5:15GMT: the third Dome, Fifth Ave. aueweg Stripe, The Moonland.
For my blog Readers on Earth, Please make sure that you do not miss my live telecast on the same day @5:15GMT.

Revision II : Laws of Physics
What we say as "rule" was discovered by humankind in due course of time. Due to its capacity to observe.
We speak of "fundamental rules" but what do we really mean by that?
It is based upon our inference, which ultimately is based upon the observation. For a blind people darkness is law! for a deaf, symbol works. So, it depends upon our capacity to observe and make inference. Are we capable to formulate laws that govern the universe?
Yes!/ No!
Yes:
We are capable to formulate some "rules" on the basis of our understanding capabilities. The sources of knowledge are being pushed. And our understanding improves so does the power of inference.
Take an example, in Hindu Philosophy, The rain was caused by Indra Dev. But do we still think that way?
We were happy with five elements: Earth, Fire, Sky, water , air
We now have more. Does this make life easier?
No:
However, what we said law was actually our rules of inference. Rules so that we can understand the situation and make ourselves more comfortable.
There are no "rules" if you can see the world! Rules are just like your pieces of specs you need to see it clearly.
The only thing that survives is the Order.
Well, let's think about it!
Oh god! what am I writing? (<<-- JOKE!)
(Needs more refinements, may be your comments would help!)
